West Rowan fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 74-69 W against the Lake Norman Charter Knights. This was a revenge game for the Falcons: when they faced off against the Knights back in December of 2024, they had to take a 63-58 loss.

Lake Norman Charter's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Braden Wilkie, who went 6 of 14 to rack up 19 points and eight boards, and Dean Ruthstrom, who went 5 for 8 on his way to 14 points and three steals. The dominant performance gave Ruthstrom a new career-high in steals. Jay Morgan was another key player, putting up seven points and three steals.

West Rowan's win bumped their record up to 7-13. As for Lake Norman Charter, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.

West Rowan didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 73-55 loss against Central Cabarrus on the 7th. As for Lake Norman Charter, they have also already played their next contest, a 70-42 victory against East Rowan on the 7th.
