Basketball Recap: Chambers Victorious + How To Watch

Chambers lost to Butler on January 6th, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Cougars came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 64-56. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.

Zyon White had another great game (as he tends to do), shooting 54% from the field en route to 23 points along with six rebounds and three blocks. Those six boards gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lavonte 'LJ' Jackson Jr., who posted nine points and five assists.

The win was their first on the road, bumping their record up to 12-8. As for Butler, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-7 record this season.

Chambers and Butler could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings. The Cougars will face off against North Mecklenburg at 7:30 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (52 vs. 5). Meanwhile, Butler (ranked 48th) will meet West Charlotte (ranked sixth) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
