Basketball Recap: Alexandria Continues Home Dominance on Monday

Alexandria lost to Carencro back in November of 2018, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Alexandria Trojans walked away with a 46-38 win over the Carencro Bears. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 17th, while the Bears are ranked 115th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Alexandria's victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 27-7. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.4 points over those games. As for Carencro, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-26.

Alexandria will have a chance to go back-to-back against Carencro: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Tuesday.
