Softball Game Preview: Omak Pioneers vs. Tonasket Tigers

The Omak Pioneers will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Tonasket Tigers at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Omak is headed into their home opener looking to turn things around after starting their season on the road. They came up short against Okanogan on Tuesday, falling 17-3. The Pioneers have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meetings.

Meanwhile, Tonasket took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Oroville as Tonasket made off with a 30-1 win.

Tonasket got a massive performance out of Ali Nicholson, who scored three runs and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-2. What's more, Nicholson posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. Jordyn O'Connor was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
