            Softball Recap: Bellarmine Prep Lions vs. Lincoln Abes        
        
		
        
        
            After flying high against Mount Tahoma  on Monday, Bellarmine Prep came back down to earth. The Lions fell  20-15 to the Lincoln Abes on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Abes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  21-20  two weeks ago.
  Lyla Hulse stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she got on base  in all four of her plate appearances with one  home run, four  runs,  and two  stolen bases. Another player making a difference was  Fatima Echeverria, who  went 3-for-4 with three  stolen bases, three  runs,  and two  doubles.
Bellarmine Prep's loss was  their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Lincoln, their victory  ended  a  four-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 6-11.
 Bellarmine Prep and Lincoln could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage  in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings. The Lions (ranked 264th) will meet Gig Harbor (ranked 53rd)  at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. Meanwhile,  Lincoln will  challenge  Central Kitsap  at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday with a big rank  disadvantage  (230 vs. 65).
