The Stillwater Warriors will square off against the Ticonderoga Sentinels at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Stillwater comes in on eight and Ticonderoga on 16.
Stillwater is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Lisbon Central with a sharp 11-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won 11 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Eden Resch was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in May. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Katie Coogan was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI. Emery Powers was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Stillwater kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Ticonderoga got themselves on the board against Northern Adirondack on Monday, but Northern Adirondack never followed suit. They blew past the Bobcats 10-0. The Sentinels might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 games by six runs or more this season.
Like Stillwater, Ticonderoga also got a great game from a two-way player: Myleigh Drinkwine. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. Drinkwine was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs.
In other batting news, Ticonderoga let Addy Moore and Isabelle Burroughs run wild. Moore went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Burroughs went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Munson, who went 1-for-5 with one home run.
Stillwater's record now sits at 14-6. As for Ticonderoga, their record is now 16-0.
Saturday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Stillwater has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .470. However, it's not like Ticonderoga struggles in that department as they've averaged .556. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Stillwater suffered a grim 16-9 defeat to Ticonderoga when the teams last played back in May of 2019. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
