Basketball Recap: Neville Beats Ouachita Parish for Their Sixth Straight Victory

Neville entered their tilt with Ouachita Parish on Friday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They blew past the Ouachita Parish Lions 50-27. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 22 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Neville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Erynn Felton, who posted 12 points in addition to seven boards and five assists. Felton is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in the last three games she's played. Joy Fisher was another key player, going 7-for-15 on her way to 20 points and seven rebounds.

Neville's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-3. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 7.5 points across that stretch. As for Ouachita Parish, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 19-8.

Neville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 72-67 win against West Monroe on the 11th. As for Ouachita Parish, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 52-48 loss against Ruston on the 11th.
