Volleyball Game Preview: Johnson County Central Thunderbirds vs. Louisville Lions

The Johnson County Central Thunderbirds will take on the Louisville Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Johnson County Central is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Johnson County Central will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Douglas County West, who they had gone 0-4 against in their four prior meetings. The Thunderbirds came out on top against the Falcon by a score of 2-0 on Saturday.

Johnson County Central can attribute much of their success to Sophia Schmid, who had 11 digs and one assist, and Reese Carter, who had five digs.

Johnson County Central was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 12 consecutive contests.

Louisville hadn't beaten Auburn on the road since October 17, 2019 but that history sure didn't bother them on Saturday. The Lions walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Bulldogs.

Johnson County Central's win bumped their record up to 15-0. As for Louisville, their victory bumped their record up to 10-4.
