Recap: Show Low Cougars vs. Snowflake Lobos
The Show Low Cougars were the 72-70 winner over the Snowflake Lobos when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Show Low took a 55-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Snowflake on Friday. Show Low has been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.
Show Low lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Cameron Wallentine, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and four blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Preston Power, who scored 13 points.
Even though they lost, Show Low smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Show Low's loss dropped their record down to 19-7. As for Snowflake, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.
Show Low will head out on the road to face off against Payson at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Show Low is facing Payson at the right time seeing as Payson is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Snowflake, they will head out on the road to challenge Holbrook at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Snowflake will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Holbrook surely won't give up without a fight.
