Soccer Game Preview: Lausanne Collegiate vs. Pleasant View

The Lausanne Collegiate Lynx will challenge Pleasant View at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Lausanne Collegiate has six straight wins, Pleasant View has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Lausanne Collegiate's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against South Gibson, sneaking past 1-0. Given Lausanne Collegiate's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 16th, while South Gibson are ranked 101st) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Pleasant View came up short against Westminster Academy on Tuesday and fell 3-1.

Pleasant View's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Lausanne Collegiate, their victory bumped their record up to 9-1-1.

Lausanne Collegiate took their win against Pleasant View in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 9-0 score. Will the Lynx repeat their success, or do Pleasant View have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
