League recap: Boyertown stuns Owen J. Roberts in upset

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Owen J. Roberts, who took down 305th ranked Owen J. Roberts, 42-14.

Boyertown moved up to 364 from 396 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Pioneer. The Bears climbed the ranks as a result of beating the Wildcats 42-14.

Matt Mesaros put up the best numbers through the air as Pope John Paul II bested Upper Perkiomen. He finished with a total of three completions for 65 yards and one touchdown. Mesaros' favorite target this week was Tim Tadros, who caught two passes for 41 yards.

Jarred Jones was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 208 yards on 20 carries as Spring-Ford topped Phoenixville. Yousef Lundi also contributed to the rushing game with 96 yards on the ground.

Fowler was the best wideout in the league this week as the Falcons topped the Phantoms. Fowler tallied two receptions for 44 yards. Qwhadir Miller helped Pottsgrove's passing attack out by catching one ball for eight yards.

5-foot-10 quarterback Sage Reinhart of Pottstown is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1651. He has also thrown eight touchdowns. On the ground, Pottsgrove's Mark Dukes has rushed for 1072 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Matt Raymond. The Owen J. Roberts star has 27 catches for 664 yards.

Rick Pennypacker's team extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Phoenixville, 24-7. The win marks 10th in a row for the the Falcons.
