Softball Recap: Randolph Picks Up 28th Consecutive Win

Randolph strolled into their game on Monday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the St. Charles Fighting Saints. Those two runs were actually the fewest the Rockets have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Randolph's victory was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their hitting performance: the team's won by an average of 10.9 runs thus far. As for St. Charles, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Randolph will challenge United South Central at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Charles, they will venture away from home to take on Caledonia at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors' pitching crew has only allowed 0.6 runs per game this season, so the Fighting Saints' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
