Volleyball Recap: Whale Branch Takes a Loss

Whale Branch came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Colleton County Cougars, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Cougars: they've now lost three in a row.

While Whale Branch was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Colleton County's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-20, 25-21.

Whale Branch's loss dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Colleton County, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-9.

Looking ahead, Whale Branch will host Hampton County at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Colleton County, they will square off against Bluffton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
