Katie Jonas gave up the fewest walks she has since back in April of 2024 on Tuesday. She was unstoppable, striking out eight batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Jonas and Springboro will take on Springfield at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Panthers were victorious the last time they faced the Wildcats, a win that might not have happened without Jonas: she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched.
