Soccer Game Preview: Boynton Beach vs. Lake Worth

The Boynton Beach Tigers will challenge the Lake Worth Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

After dropping their season opener at home, Lake Worth is headed out to face a Boynton Beach team ready to give their home crowd a win. Boynton Beach lost 5-0 to Seminole Ridge on Monday. The Tigers have struggled against the Hawks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Lake Worth's offense. They fell just short of Park Vista by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Trojans came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 46th, while the Cobras are ranked 305th).

Boynton Beach came up short against Lake Worth in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, falling 3-1. Can Boynton Beach avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
