Baseball Recap: Franklin's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Franklin had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against the Tecumseh Arrows on Saturday by a score of 7-0 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game).

Franklin got a great performance from Talon Conrad as he didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. Conrad also tossed a walk, which is notable because the Wildcats are 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 4-7 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Connor Leach was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season. Drew Lochner was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Franklin's win bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Tecumseh, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-5.

Franklin and Tecumseh could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Wildcats (ranked 443rd) will meet Clinton-Massie (ranked 214th) at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Tecumseh will square off against Kenton Ridge at 5:15 p.m. on Monday with a big rank disadvantage (239 vs. 114).
