Basketball Recap: Kimball Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Holdingford, Kimball was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Eden Valley-Watkins Eagles, sneaking past 51-49. While the Cubs didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-20), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Kimball has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.6 points per game. As for Eden Valley-Watkins, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-7 record.

Kimball has already played their next contest (against Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Eden Valley-Watkins will face off against Albany at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Albany knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 matches -- so hopefully Eden Valley-Watkins likes a good challenge.
