Hagerty let Windermere stack four runs on them in the third inning on Tuesday but luckily Hagerty prevailed anyway. The Huskies skirted past the Wolverines 8-6. Surprisingly, this marked the Huskies' fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.
Ariana Hardman tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. What's more, she posted four strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March.
On the hitting side, Hagerty let Ana Roman and Alexandra Beldowicz run wild. Roman went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base, while Beldowicz went 3-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one RBI. That's the most doubles Beldowicz has posted since back in May of 2024. Hannah Hargrave also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Hagerty pushed their record up to 18-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of two runs across that stretch. As for Windermere, their loss dropped their record down to 12-10.
Hagerty does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Windermere, they will face off against University at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wolverines are facing the Cougars at the right time seeing as the Cougars are stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
