Volleyball Recap: Aptos Comes Up Short

Aptos was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Soquel Knights. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mariners of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-13, 25-15.

Aptos' loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Soquel, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Aptos will take on Leigh at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Leigh will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Aptos surely won't give up without a fight. As for Soquel, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Santa Clara at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
