Volleyball Recap: Franny Vondebur Key Part of Team Effort in Senators Win + How To Watch

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Springfield walked away with it. They won by a set and slipped past the Jacksonville Crimsons 2-1. The Senators haven't had any issues with the Crimsons recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Springfield to victory, but perhaps none more so than Franny VonDeBur, who had 17 assists and three digs. Those 17 assists gave VonDeBur a new career-high.

Despite the loss, Jacksonville still got an impressive performance from Alyvia Woods, who had six digs and three aces.

Springfield's win bumped their record up to 24-9. As for Jacksonville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-20 record this season.

Springfield will challenge Normal University at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Jacksonville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
