While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 346th, while the Wildcats are ranked 40th).

Memphis University School's victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 10-7. As for St. Benedict at Auburndale, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-15.

Memphis University School took their win against St. Benedict at Auburndale in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 64-41.
