Softball Game Preview: Pana Panthers vs. Staunton Bulldogs

Pana hasn't had much luck against Staunton recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Panthers will look to defend their home field against the Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

On Tuesday, Pana didn't have quite enough to beat Southwestern and fell 6-5.

Izzy Reed was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double. Brianna Mathis also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Staunton's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of Gillespie by a score of 9-7.

Staunton's defeat dropped their record down to 14-3. As for Pana, their loss dropped their record down to 10-9-1.
