East Rutherford and Chase are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. East Rutherford will face off against Chase at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (East Rutherford has three straight victories, Chase has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Friday, East Rutherford was able to grind out a solid win over R-S Central, taking the game 5-2. That's two games straight that the Cavaliers have won by exactly three runs.

Meanwhile, Chase fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Burns on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. Trojans fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Bulldogs since on Monday.

Chase now has a losing record of 5-6. As for East Rutherford, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.

East Rutherford took their win against Chase in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 15-0. Will East Rutherford repeat their success, or does Chase has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
