Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Emily Zack and Mckenzie Chapman Lead Zionsville to Victory

Zionsville posted their biggest victory since January 3rd on Saturday. They blew past the Evansville Memorial Tigers 58-36.

Zionsville was led to victory by Mckenzie Chapman and Emily Zack. Chapman went 6 for 11 on her way to 16 points in addition to seven boards and five assists, while Zack went 6 of 11 on her way to 16 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Caroline Sampson, who posted six points along with seven rebounds and five assists.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Zionsville was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January.

Zionsville's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Evansville Memorial, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

Zionsville will take on Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Zionsville surely won't give up without a fight. As for Evansville Memorial, they will head out to face off against Terre Haute North Vigo at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
