Softball Game Preview: Oak Hill Oaks vs. Southeastern Panthers

The Oak Hill Oaks are taking a road trip to square off against the Southeastern Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Oak Hill has given up an average of 12.8 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Oak Hill is headed into Wednesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight games on Monday. They lost 20-1 to Zane Trace. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Oaks couldn't push the score so high this time.

Oak Hill saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madeline Carper, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Portsmouth West typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Southeastern proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with an 11-7 win over the Senators. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Gracie Brown was incredible, going a perfect 5-for-5 with four runs, one triple, and one double. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Ally Fisher, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Southeastern kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in 13 consecutive contests.

Southeastern's record is now 18-7. As for Oak Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 6-18.

Oak Hill might still be hurting after the 17-4 defeat they got from Southeastern in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Oaks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
