Volleyball Recap: Mitchell Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Mitchell and East Lake squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Mitchell had to settle for second. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 3-0. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-12, 25-19.

Makaia Mohammed paced Mitchell's offense, picking up eight kills. Mohammed got some help from Taylor Perkins and her 14 assists. Perkins was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Mitchell's loss dropped their record down to 20-7. As for East Lake, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 25-3.

Mitchell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for East Lake, they will square off against Largo at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
