West Springfield has gone 9-1 against Fairfax recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. Having just played yesterday, the West Springfield Spartans will get right back to it and host the Fairfax Lions at 7:30 p.m. West Springfield will be strutting in after a win while Fairfax will be coming in after a defeat.

West Springfield took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They took down Lake Braddock 54-37. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 80th, while the Bruins are ranked 265th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Fairfax came up short against Alexandria City on Friday and fell 52-40.

West Springfield now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Fairfax, they dropped their record down to 4-10 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home.

West Springfield strolled past Fairfax when the teams last played last Saturday by a score of 43-28. Does West Springfield have another victory up their sleeve, or will Fairfax turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
