Preview: Compton Tarbabes vs. Woodrow Wilson Bruins
Two dominant players in Oshon Mitchell and Hayden Rodriguez are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Compton Tarbabes's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Woodrow Wilson Bruins at 7:00 p.m. on January 17th. Compton knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Woodrow Wilson likes a good challenge.
On Monday, Compton was able to grind out a solid victory over Claremont, taking the game 63-50.
Meanwhile, Woodrow Wilson unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 54-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cabrillo.
Compton's victory bumped their record up to 6-14. As for Woodrow Wilson, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-9.
Compton suffered a grim 85-60 defeat to Woodrow Wilson when the teams last played back in December of 2023. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Rodriguez, who scored 24 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Now that Compton knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
