Volleyball Recap: Milton Comes Up Short

Milton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Navarre Raiders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2022.

While Milton ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-19, 23-25, 25-21.

Navarre was led to victory by Anna Wagner and Natalie Gill. Wagner had seven digs and five aces, while Gill had eight digs and two aces. Those five aces gave Wagner a new career-high.

Milton's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Navarre, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Milton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Escambia on the 28th. As for Navarre, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Pace on the 27th.
