Baseball Recap: Delta Comes Up Short

Delta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of Redington. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Redington this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-6 on Friday.

Jorge Pagan was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Noah Douglas, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.

Delta's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Redington, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Delta will challenge Monroe Catholic at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Redington, they will face off against Palmer at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
