Basketball Game Preview: Nova Titans vs. Flanagan Falcons

The Nova Titans will challenge the Flanagan Falcons on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Thursday, Nova was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 70-64 to Schoolhouse Prep. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Flanagan came into Wednesday's game having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Coconut Creek on Wednesday, sneaking past 62-59. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Falcons have posted since December 9, 2024.

Nova's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Flanagan, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-15.

Nova couldn't quite finish off Flanagan in their previous matchup back in February of 2021 and fell 69-67. Thankfully for Nova, Myles Hurt (who went 7 of 12 on his way to 24 points and six steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
