Baseball Recap: Hillman Tigers vs. Onaway Cardinals
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against St. Francis, Hillman was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They came out on top against the Onaway Cardinals by a score of 10-6. Considering the Tigers' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Jt Witzke and Evan Crane made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Witzke struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Crane struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off four hits. That's the most strikeouts Witzke has posted since back in April. At the plate, Witzke got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI, while Crane got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Crane has become a key player for Hillman: the team is 11-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 0-7 otherwise.
