Basketball Recap: Gorman Takes a Loss

Gorman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were beaten by the May Tigers 65-25. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1406th, while the Tigers are ranked 427th).

Gorman's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for May, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 8-1.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Gorman Panthers challenge the Lingleville Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for May, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Sidney at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
