Hardin County came tearing into Friday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Loretto Mustangs. That's two games straight that the Tigers have won by just one run.

Hardin County pushed their record up to 4-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Loretto, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Hardin County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 7-3 loss against Mount Juliet on the 30th. As for Loretto, they will square off against Summertown at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Summertown's pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so Loretto's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
