The Almira-Coulee-Hartline Warriors are taking a road trip to face off against the Brewster Bears at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Almira-Coulee-Hartline is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 13 runs per game this season.

Last Tuesday, Almira-Coulee-Hartline made easy work of Wellpinit and carried off a 22-1 victory. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Redskins recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Madison Brink made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Those eight strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. She also put up a triple, which was her first of the season.

In other batting news, Almira-Coulee-Hartline got a massive performance out of Mallory Isaak, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. Hannah Brummett was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

Almira-Coulee-Hartline always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .821. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Brewster hadn't done well against Okanogan recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Bears had just enough and edged out the Bulldogs 15-13. The victory was nothing new for the Bears as they're now sitting on three straight.

Almira-Coulee-Hartline now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Brewster, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Almira-Coulee-Hartline suffered a grim 13-7 defeat to Brewster when the teams last played back in May of 2021. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
