Softball Recap: Piedmont Takes a Loss

Piedmont's last matchup with Spring Garden could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Friday. The Piedmont Bulldogs lost 9-3 to the Spring Garden Panthers. The Bulldogs' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Piedmont's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Spring Garden, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-4.

Piedmont will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cedar Bluff at 5:00 p.m. on March 25th. As for Spring Garden, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 15-0 win against Coosa Christian on the 17th.
