Softball Recap: Douglas Takes a Loss

Douglas has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging three runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Thursday. They came up short against the Boaz Pirates, falling 12-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Pirates: they've now lost five in a row.

Douglas' loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Boaz, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Douglas will be taking part in a tournament against Asbury at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Boaz, they will welcome Fort Payne at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
