Softball Recap: Prattville Lions vs. Chilton County Tigers
Prattville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Chilton County Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 5-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.
Addison Lee made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Emma Moore, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Prattville's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Chilton County, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 16-3-1.
Coming up, Prattville is taking a road trip to take on Marbury at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Prattville is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season. As for Chilton County, they will welcome Wetumpka at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
