Softball Recap: East Bernard Finds Playoff Glory Versus Blooming Grove

East Bernard extended their postseason success on Friday against Blooming Grove. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Lions a 3-0 shutout. The victory was familiar territory for the Brahmas, who have now won three matchups in a row.

The result came thanks to Rylie Holder's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 18 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, East Bernard's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Taylor Viktorin, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

East Bernard's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 25-8. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 10.1 runs. As for Blooming Grove, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 28-7.
