Softball Recap: Foran Lions vs. Bethel Wildcats
In what's become a running theme this season, Foran gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Bethel Wildcats a 12-0 shutout. Winning may never get old, but Foran sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Bethel's batters probably weren't too happy with Abigail Corris, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 15 Ks (she gave up no walks). Corris has been consistent recently: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in eight consecutive pitching appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Julia O'Connell, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Gregory, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.
Foran is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. As for Bethel, they dropped their record down to 7-10 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
