Basketball Game Preview: Greybull Buffaloes vs. Shoshoni Wranglers

The Greybull Buffaloes are taking a road trip to challenge the Shoshoni Wranglers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Last Saturday, Greybull lost to Hot Springs County at home by a 68-54 margin. The Buffaloes have struggled against the Bobcats recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Shoshoni was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They took a 41-23 bruising from Rocky Mountain.

Greybull will have to keep a close watch on Mayce Jarvis and Addie Mason, a pair of players who had a big impact on Shoshoni's prior game. Jarvis posted nine points, while Mason scored no points. The dominant performance also gave Mason a new career-high in assists (four).

Shoshoni's loss dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Greybull, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-16.

Greybull beat Shoshoni 46-39 when the teams last played back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Greybull since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
