Baseball Recap: Hastings Comes Up Short

Saturday just wasn't the day for Hastings's offense. They lost 8-0 to the Waverly Vikings on Saturday. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Tigers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Hastings' loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Waverly, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-5.

Coming up, Hastings will welcome Blair at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Bears have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.25 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Waverly, they have already played their next match, a 15-4 victory against Lincoln Northwest on the 12th.
