Football Recap: San Diego Vaqueros vs. George West Longhorns
San Diego gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the George West Longhorns a 19-0 shutout. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Vaqueros also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2023.
San Diego found their leader in underclassman Nicholas Luera, who rushed for 115 yards and two touchdowns.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. San Diego will host Rockport-Fulton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for George West, they will be defending their home-field for the first timethey go up against Mathis at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
