Softball Recap: T.C. Roberson Comes Up Short

T.C. Roberson couldn't beat A.C. Reynolds on Wednesday even though they stacked six runs on them in the fifth inning. The Rams lost 16-6 to the Rockets. The Rams haven't had much luck with the Rockets recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

T.C. Roberson saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brianna Benjamin, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Layla Grogan was another, earning one run and two stolen bases.

T.C. Roberson's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for A.C. Reynolds, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. T.C. Roberson will take on Asheville at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Rams are facing the Cougars at the right time seeing as the Cougars are stuck on an 18-game losing streak. As for A.C. Reynolds, they will take on South Caldwell in a tournament on Saturday.
