Recap: Pavilion Golden Gophers vs. Mount Morris Blue Devils
The Pavilion Golden Gophers entered their tilt with the Mount Morris Blue Devils with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Pavilion secured a 51-47 W over Mount Morris on Tuesday. This was payback for Pavilion, who suffered a 71-50 loss the last time these two teams met.
Despite the loss, Mount Morris still got an impressive performance from Aidan Stanley, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Chase Young, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Pavilion pushed their record up to 5-8 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Mount Morris, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pavilion will play host again and welcome Caledonia-Mumford, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pavilion is facing Caledonia-Mumford at the right time seeing as Caledonia-Mumford is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Mount Morris, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Eugenio Maria de Hostos Charter at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Mount Morris focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Tuesday.
