Basketball Recap: Carver Birmingham Takes a Loss

Carver Birmingham lost against Minor back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Rams took a blow against the Tigers, falling 65-34. The matchup marked the Rams' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Minor to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ramoine Taylor, who went 6-for-8 to rack up 14 points. That's the most points Taylor has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Carmelo Burroughs, who shot 63% from the field en route to 13 points and six rebounds.

This is the second loss in a row for Carver Birmingham and nudges their season record down to 1-6. As for Minor, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

Carver Birmingham has already played their next game, a 55-48 loss against Fultondale on the 25th. As for Minor, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 47-44 win against Fairfield on the 25th.
