Baseball Game Preview: Tyner Academy Rams vs. Howard Tech Hustlin' Tigers

The Tyner Academy Rams are taking a road trip to square off against the Howard Tech Hustlin' Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with ten consecutive losses dating back to last season for Tyner Academy and four for Howard Tech.

Tyner Academy lost 18-2 to Polk County on Thursday.

Tyner Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was D'Terrius Dupree, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Dupree also put up an RBI, which was his first of the season.

Meanwhile, Howard Tech came up short against Sale Creek on Friday, falling 17-2. The contest marked the Hustlin' Tigers' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Anthony Fullilove made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Those two hits gave him a new career-high.

Howard Tech now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Tyner Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.

Tyner Academy couldn't quite get it done against Howard Tech in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 as they fell 8-4. Can Tyner Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
