Basketball Recap: Dain Diaz Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat O'farrell Charter

While Santana didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-20), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 58-50 win over the O'Farrell Charter Falcons on Tuesday. The Sultans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Falcons, too.

Santana got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Dain Diaz out in front who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Will Wolchko, who posted eight points in addition to five boards and three steals.

Santana smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in three consecutive matches.

Santana's record now sits at 7-2. As for O'Farrell Charter, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season.
