Football Game Preview: Perryville vs. Ste. Genevieve

On Friday Ste. Genevieve take on Perryville at 7:00 PM. If you head out to watch the game, expect to stay the whole 48 minutes: the MaxPreps rankings predict a close match.

Ste. Genevieve have to be aching after a bruising 7-28 defeat to Central last Friday. Ste. Genevieve got a solid performance out of sophomore Darrien Brown, who rushed for 86 yards and 1 touchdown; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the win.

After a string of three wins, Perryville's good fortune finally ran out. They were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap, as they fell 7-12 to St. Vincent.

With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous game, so their meeting could be a low-scoring affair.
