Soccer Recap: Island Coast Comes Up Short

Island Coast managed to keep up with Lehigh until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Island Coast Gators lost 7-1 to the Lehigh Lightning. The Gators' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it seven in a row.

Their goal came courtesy of Alfredo Torres, which was the first he's scored this season.

Island Coast's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Lehigh, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-12.

Island Coast didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Dunbar on the 10th. Lehigh has also already played their next match, a 6-0 victory against Island Coast on the 13th.
